For just shy of two decades, Emilio “Emi” Guerra has emerged as one of South Florida’s most influential creative marketing forces. Guerra’s most recent project, The Wharf Miami, is a pop-up special event space sitting along the Miami River that has helped transform the area’s event and social scene since its opening in November 2017. Next up, Guerra and his team will open The Wharf’s second waterfront iteration in Fort Lauderdale along bustling Las Olas Boulevard.

On March 17, 2000, at age 22, Guerra opened legendary hotspot Club Space as its only promoter. He eventually became a partner in the club’s operations. Since then, he has promoted, operated, purchased or sold many of the landmark nightlife venues in Miami & Miami Beach, and has become a fixture in South Florida’s robust nightlife scene.

In 2005, Guerra founded Guerra Marketing Group, leveraging his connections to nightlife industry professionals in Miami to form the premier entertainment and event marketing network in Miami’s highly competitive marketplace. Through his work with Guerra Marketing Group, he and his team have helped shape the entertainment landscape in South Florida, managing millions of dollars in yearly marketing budgets.

Through his dedication to excellence and sound marketing practice, Guerra and his ventures have been recognized with awards from some of the industry’s top publications, including Billboard (Top 25 Nightclubs of All Time) and the Miami New Times (Nightclub Impresario of the Year). During Guerra’s tenure at Club Space, the venue was listed in the Top 100 Nightclubs in the World every year of its operation.

Looking ahead, Guerra hopes to collaborate with developers who have unique spaces and wish to add prominent food and beverage concepts. “We want to deliver unique experiences and add value to the project, as well as to the community as a whole.” Guerra is also working on opening new concepts in Brickell and Ft. Lauderdale, as well as other projects throughout Florida.
